Connecting a ps3 controller

Hi I'm only new to this all and I have been trying to connect my ps3 controller to mxs using motion joy but it seems to be connected as it vibrates when I do the vibration test but won't respond to mxs am I doing something wrong, and if someone could send me instructions it would be greatly appreciated

1. Plug in with cord
2. Install drivers or load them
3. Select Dualshock 3/SIXAXIS (USB)
4. Select Xbox 360 Controller Emulator [Xinput Default]
5. To know that your controller is working I normally use custom LED with 1 light so you know it's working.
6. Click Enable.
7. Go to MX Simulator and change controls.

thanks i figured it out i had to change controlls a rookie error of me hehe
