Graphics Lag
I just updated from my ATI HD 4670 to an HD 5770. The old card the game ran mint. New one is laggy as hell. I have had nothing but problems trying to get the driver to update. I went through AMD.com and all of their drivers do not work. The CD that came with the card with the drivers works but it only lags on MXS. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

What goes wrong with the amd.com drivers?

Re: Graphics Lag
If I have the driver off the CD installed and I install the update off AMD it clears out the driver. After I reboot I get an error message saying that the driver is not installed. If I use Driver Sweeper to clear all of it and install it off AMD.com I don't even get a prompt to reboot. For some reason though all my other games work fine except for MXS. I don;t know if it's a driver issue or not.jlv wrote:What goes wrong with the amd.com drivers?

Are you sure you're downloading the right thing? Did you choose Desktop Graphics / Radeon HD Series / Radeon HD 5xxx Series PCIe and your OS?

Do you get any error messages during the install?

No. After the download is done it says it's complete and requires a reboot. As soon as it boots back up I get an error message saying that the driver is not installed.

Here's a post on Tom's Hardware where someone had the same problem. Not sure if their solution will work for you though.
