photoshop layers question
ok i am making graphics for a couple different teams right now and id like to stop makin the same pair of graphics for each shroud piece by piece. so i merged the layers of the shroud that i had jus made, duplicated the layer, and then fli[ped the image to fit the shroud on the other side. now all of the decals are backwards on the side that got flipped, obviously, so i jus need to break apart what i jus duplicated and flipped so i can individually flip each decal back, but still have the background stay the same. any help?

Re: photoshop layers question
you have to rotate to the opposite 180 degree, then flip, if you want to translate a shroud graphic over. you have to flip. i just need to know how to make the layers i grouped into seperate layers again. anyone know how???

Re: photoshop layers question
If you merged the graphics into one layer, you will have to select the logo and rotate it (or cut it from the layer paste as it's own layer). The better option would have been to add the graphics into a group and duplicate the group, then flip that, then manually rotate each logo.
If you cut it like I said, you will have to do some filling and edit the graphics to fill gaps where the logos were before rotating/flipping.

Your best option is to live and learn. Don't merge your layers
If you're trying to keep it organized then use folders. I learned that the hard way too!

Re: photoshop layers question
ha, thanks everyone, i guess the best way to do it is to only merge the reversible items into one layer then duplicate the logos individually. thats been workin for me and i hope this'll help someone else out.
