help with lag!!!

everytime i go to play online with someone my computer lags so much i cant even play the game. this also happens when i get a new track. i have to go through and delete all of the objects so i can actually play the game. does any one know how to fix this?!?!?

Well first could you post your specs?

and instead of deleting objects you can just turn down "model geometric detail
