Can't see shit without shaders?

Post by darnified »

My friend is trying to run sim smoother but he has to have shaders on to see his graphics, the stadium, etc. Does anyone have any idea why this happens?

Are you sure he hasn't set the model detail below 10?

It might be worth installing the latest graphics driver for your card. If it really can't render without shaders I would have expected other stuff to not work either.

He said he doesn't have any card. Do you have any other ideas? Do you think re installing MXS would fix it?

To find out what graphics chip you have, click the Windows Start button, click Run, type dxdiag in the Open box, and then click OK. Then click the display tab. That should show you the model and manufacturer of your graphics processor.

For ATI graphics chips go here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

For Intel graphics chips go here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx

For NVidia graphics chips go here: http://www.nvidia.com/page/drivers.html
