just for the record, any "high end" lap top, is practically a lap warmer, or space heater.

Second, are you willing to build a desktop?

Unless, you got a minimum of $1300 your willing to put into a computer, id suggest you go with a desktop, you could try and go for one of those new small case builds, would still be cheaper then buying a laptop.

no such thing as a gaming laptop, doesnt matter what kind of specs they have, laptops do not handle games because they over heat easy. And to be 100% honest a $500 laptop would barely play MXS on compatibility in SX, in MX you would have to run low. IF you need a laptop that bad, i would suggest buying a cheap 100$ laptop or tablet, and then saving up some money again to buy or build a desktop for gaming, If your laptop is for school then it doesn't need games on it.

If you're looking for a gaming laptop then i would suggest get an ASUS ROG laptop. You're not getting anything real good for $500. Price range being about $800 and up for a good laptop. like mentioned before, it will be a "lap warmer". if you want something in that price range desktop is the way to go.

i dont understand, my P.O.S $200 laptop can run mxs on normal graphics on sx no prob, its just getting old thats all. So your saying my crap $200 compac will outrun a $5oo laptop? wtf is wrong with me??!?! its common sense a 200$ computer is better right? no, bullshit

i can sit here for a shit load of time telling you why a laptop is a waste of your money, but if you want to be a dumbass and buy a space heater be my guess idgaf. high end laptops have great hardware in them with horrible cooling. and with some of the very high end "gaming" lap tops, They are so unstable that they need to be plugged in, in order to play some games. so again if you want to sit there and waist your money be my guest cause idgaf. im not saying your old laptop will out run a new one. i have absolutely no idea were your getting that from. what im saying is your better off keeping that one. and spending your money on built desktop. for $500 you could probably get a PC that could run MX sim on high no problem as well as alot of other games (if you build it, and spend the money in the right places.) but if you guys think laptops are practical for gaming, im not going to stop you from wasting your money.

....then i wont get a gaming laptop, im not a freaking all day gamer, i need one for highschool, but it would just be nice if it could run mxs, thats all. i just want suggestions, not a frickin lecture on why not to get a laptop
