jersey lettering help please..

hi once again, im back with yet another issue.. im a GIMP user and suffering from lack of "skill" with regards to jersey lettering.. my goal is to achieve something very similar to this..

all i can achieve is this.. yeh its pretty shit!

is there anyone out there that could put one of these together very easily and quickly? would you be willing to do 2 for me with the numbers 84 and 284?
i would appreciate this so much and would be willing to help you out in any way i could.. i know the MXS community has a vast number of whizzkids on Photoshop and GIMP. sadly im not one of these.. thanks guys..
