Video Tutorial on creating own server

Post by Ddavis »

I've read the text tutorial many times and haven't processed @#$%. Anyone down to make a quick video on how to make it? Maybe in three parts, 1. How to get it up and running 2. How to add tracks 3. Admin commands

I don't have time to make a video about it, but have you tried this: http://forum.mxsimulator.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=9074 ? I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for, though. Also, I haven't figured out how to update it, so I have to use an older snapshot which sort of sucks, but you might be able to figure that out. If you're looking for how to make a server that doesn't run off of Hamachi, I have no idea. Hope this helps.

I might try to do it tonight if I have enough time. Shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I would if i knew how i got my server up and running the one time but the next day my ip changed so it didn't work anymore but if someone could make a quick video that would definitely be cool and help everyone out because a lot of people still ask how. Sorry for not posting about me making the video or anything but i just wanted to say this is a good topic and i really hope someone does.

Here's a vid, probably will have to turn your volume up . It covers setting up the server and adding tracks, all of the server commands are explained in the read me, there's just too many to go through in a video.
