Fps Problems
So ive turned my computer on performance mode and closed all my programs and put mxs on the lowest settings it can go and I still lag hella bad on the national tracks. I have opened task manager on my other screen and have noticed major jumps in the performance tab... also i have noticed mxs is barley using and cpu power and my RAM is on 1 GB and I have 6. I have a dell inspiron N5050 laptop with intel HD3000 integrated graphics (I know this might be my problem) and the gpu is set all the way up performance wise. Im not to good with finding the right settings so if anyone is willing I could use some help! thanks

Re: Fps Problems
It's just the fact that your laptop can't handle it. It isn't good enough. If you're in the market for something that can run it, you could easily make a computer for $400 that could run it no problem, just search on youtube for a good build if you don't want to search individual parts alone. If you're not too "tech savy" you could buy a pre-built pc for it, just look them up on google. See what graphics card they are running and search it on google as well to see how well it can preform. Other than that I can say, when I used a laptop I used a program called "Game Booster" by iObit, that boosted my fps by at least 10.

That's the thing... I used to be able to run it perfectly fine and I tried gamebooster the other day and it did barely anything

Re: Fps Problems
It it was working before it should be possible to get it back. Try choosing the compatibility settings and then exiting/restarting. Reinstall the graphics driver from Intel's site. Make sure the laptop is plugged in and running cool.

Re: Fps Problems
Compatibility settings just made it slower and I tried to install the new drivers and it said my computer was not compatible fir the 64 bit windows 7even though I have a 64 bit windows 7 . So I guess I'm just sol till I can get the money for a new computer . Also I tried allocating more RAM to my graphics card in the BIOS and had to run a windows repair program.

Re: Fps Problems
G-dub, after I got finally got all of the shit toolbars and pc tune up program's deleted(I forgot to check the custom dl box) I started the program and had hella drivers outdated so I got those fixed. Along with gamebooster and another program I found on the net I can finally run the track on low setting but with minimal lag. So thank you for pointing me that way!:D

Re: Fps Problems
no problem mate. glad i could help. just one word of advice tho, i'd bin those shitty "pc tune up" things. they do not work. you cant beat a manual clean up.
once a month just make sure you..
.Disk cleanup.
.uninstall shitty programs you just dont use.
.de-frag
.virus scan
.hitman pro or other top malware/spyware scan
.delete any un used files etc
.run slim drivers
i know its shit but its amazing how quick your comp can turn from good to shit!

Re: Fps Problems
Is there a way to run better settings for outdoors? It lags because of all the riders. Right now I'm running 0 texture and model levels and 32 resolution and I always miss a rut or something. If not I'm seriously thinking about quitting till sx because i cant afford a new computer.

Re: Fps Problems
i honestly dont know mate, i have a laptop which is fairly high spec so i run everything on full graphics and dont get any problems. as for the big online race thing, i have suffered somewhat before with 40 riders on fermo high res. it just lagged like a bitch, i know that turning off "record demo" gives u slightly better fps. i wish i cud help more mate, maybe one of the "veterans" can help you out as im still a "noob" round here lol

Re: Fps Problems
hey man try adding --glfinish to the comand line on your mxsimulator shortcut..
i dont really understand what it does all i know is that i have decent pc and my game poo without glfinish, as soon as i add it to shortcut i can run game on anysetting shaders on even on millvile which for me was a real problem track. Give it a crack cant hurt

Re: Fps Problems
That's interesting. I would have thought glfinish would reduce lag a bit while hurting your FPS.
