Arcade Mode Racing vs. Non

Post by HenneBomb »

So im a newbie to the board and the game. I was looking into purchasing the game after playing the demo for about a week now but I managed to get on this board

So its a video game and I see everyone bashing arcade mode; The sad thing is was that I was pumped playing the game until I realized all the racing is non-arcade mode or to what I thought and I thought the difficulty to even get over jump one with arcade physics off was absolutely ridiculous even after reading numerous tips.

so that's my question...is all racing in non-arcade mode or is there an arcade mode league also.

FYI for the owner of the game if you happen to read this: this game would sell more copies if it was just arcade physics on without that being an option...the game brings INSTANT FUN which is how games SELL...not falling over after many attempts just to say heck with the game then getting on a board to race and realizing you have no chance anytime soon because the game will take countless hours just to figure out how to get over jump 1 much less make it around the track.

There's a server on port 19819 that allows arcade physics, but it isn't very popular. I know that from a sales standpoint I'm crazy to be using these physics. Once you get the hang of it it's amazing though.

I've played for six years and only won one organized race. First round of WMSA at Smithtown in the B class. That was possibly 4 or 5 years ago. Winning is fun but playing the game that is challenging is even funner.

JLV wrote "There's a server on port 19819 that allows arcade physics, but it isn't very popular." So JLV think about WHY it would not be popular...

Its not popular because everyone is forced to play in non-arcade mode to be able to race. Why would anyone want to race in arcade mode it its totally pointless; its like training to drive a formula 1 car with a ford escort.

If you created a league to race in that was for Arcade mode you would be mind blown how popular that server would be; I would put money on it you would need to create more than one server for arcade mode racers.

Once you learn how to play the game off arcade mode you will realize how much funner and faster it is and then you will be asking why would anyone want to race on arcade mode?
