Help: Custom models are replaced by stock models

Hi all,

I downloaded a good bunch of custom models and skins for MX sim. This all worked great and looked good until yesterday. When i go online or go time trial, the game is displaying the stock models. This is really weird because my personal folder is still in place. I can still choose a custom model, like the crf and it shows perfectly fine. Only all the other riders show a stock model. Strange stuff!

Does anyone have the same problem? I'm trying to get this fixed but don't know anymore what this issue could be. Any help is greatly appreciated

That happens when you don't have the skin a person is using, it displays the default model and skin If you look in the chat it will give you a list of skins that could not be loaded. A lot of the newer bike models have a default skin and model included that should overwrite the stock one but I don't know what models you're using.

Hi Yzmxer, thanks for replying

I checked the chat console and it shows this warnings that i can't load models indeed. But the weird part is that i actually installed in the models correct place. It always worked fine but somehow it just stopped working. Rider models seem te be allright. Only the bike models give issues. I use the RPP2 model replacement pack for the bikes and put that folder in the program files -> mx simulator folder where it belongs.

Maybe windows does not have sufficient rights to acces the mx simulator folder in program files?

I can't reproduce it yet.

Just tried to change my rights on the rpp2 folder, it does not make any difference. Even a reinstall of the game does not work. Gear is fine (stuff in personal folder) but the bikes in the rpp2 folder are not read correctly and i just don't get why.

fixed it, seems that I missed a part of the model replacement pack
