I need help!

Okay so my hdd crashed so i had to get a new one and I didint have enough money for windows so I got ubuntu. And having windows previously I could just plug on my controller and it would register.(xbox 360 controller). Now with ubuntu every button works except the two triggers on the back which I use fro my throttle and brake. Can anybody help me figure out how to get sim to recognize those two buttons?

No ive only tried xboxdrv. That was the only thing I could find.

What does jstest do when you press the triggers?

In jstest it showed activity via the orange bars in the application on axis 2 and 5. Im just so new to linux I dont really know how to do anything. if I have too ill just change my buttons around and force myself to get used to it.

What was the range when you pressed it? You can probably set it up by editing the config file for mx sim.
