Radeon 5870 Matrix Getting Better FPS Then 7870 Ghz Edition?

Ok so while I wait for my mobo to come back this week I decided to compare my new card to my old one on my old pc. I ran both 256x256 maxed out on 2013 Toronto and got around 80-90 fps then at one section got 111 on the 7870. I then put my 5870 in and it ran it at 90-111 fps and 125 fps at the one section. I find this extremely wierd. Is it maybe just I dont have the newest drivers for the 7870 (Used the disc drivers)? Or could it be the cpu bottlenecking the card (Idk why this would be true though if the 5870 isnt getting bottlenecked)? From the comparisons ive read the 5870 shouldnt beat it in anything. Any help would be nice.

You should redo it with the newest drivers, the ones on the disc are usually pretty out of date.
