Easier way to transfer trackinfo?

Post by Yamaha285 »

Is there a way to transfer old trackinfo files ti a new server args file? I have been having slow bursts on my server and i am wondering if i need to update to the new mxserver released? I have tried a couple different ways to transfer the tracks so i dont have to go to each track and type in /savetrackinfo but no luck it will say trackinfo/alcrest.trackinfo not valid press any key. Whats the trick here?

Is this a dedicated server or are you running it from your pc?

No idea how to use Hamachi.

However, if you go into your personal folder (pf), you can search for .trackinfo and it should bring up every trackinfo you ever saved. you can then copy/paste them to the trackinfo folder for the server and type it into the server args.

If you already have a serverargs file, you can send it to your desktop and add to it as you want, then just overwrite the one in the server folder with the one on the desktop.

There's no easier way to do it, as far as I know.

All you're doing is updating the server client? You only need the mxserver file and mxserver.exe (and the readme) if you're just updating.

I am not exactly sure, but I thought that it overwrites the arts when you update?

I've only moved those files, and it's never changed my args file on it's own.
