Can't get sim to open

Everytime I go to start up the game I just get an error that says mxsimulator 9-11-13 has stopped responding. I tried restarting my computer and creating a new shortcut. The last thing I did before I exited sim the last time was change the resolution.

Not 100% sure this will work but in your personal take out the config file (keep it for now, just take it out of your personal folder) and see if that fixes it, the game will create a new one when it opens. If that fixes it try editing the original (the one that wouldn't work) with a text editor and change the resolution back and see if that fixes it. If not then just keep using the new one.
