Mac Running windows 8

Post by Bloomracing#15 »

Hey everyone i just downloaded windows 8 suing bootcamp onto my late 2013 macbook pro retina display 15 inch laptop. In about a week or two my windows 7 disc is coming in and i will be switching to windows 8 so some problems i am having may work themselves out when i switch. So, the problem i am having right now is that the blue taskbar never goes away when i am playing the game. I have the screen set to default fullscreen or whatever the full screen option is called.....so thats not my problem. Also another thing is that i cant minimize the game and go back into it. Is this common? when i go back into the game its zoomed in to the top left corner of the screen so i cant see the bike or anything just where the results are posted. I guess another question I have is that I was expecting to be able to run this game on full graphics with a new computer(even though its not a gaming comp). Its the macbook with a 2.3 ghz processor and a NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M with 2GB of GDDR5 memory(whatever that means). I pulled task manager up to look at stuff while im playing and im using almost no cpu so it must be my graphics card that cant handle it???? Thanks

Check if your laptop is running on the Nvidia card and not the integrated card.

The card should be fine. Make sure you install the driver from NVIDIA's site. The Microsoft GDI driver will be extremely slow.

Holy crap!!!! I just installed the newest driver from NVidia and when I launch the game my screen strobes black and then the game screen repeatedly. Any thoughts?

Actually, you might want to go back a version. Somethings wrong with the page flipping in the last driver.
