Windows 8.1 PS3 Controller wont work

Well windows 8.1 sucks asshole and wont work with motioninjoy. so i have no way to connect my controller. i have tried downloading the motioninjoy drivers and running better ds3 and all that crap but nothing works. any suggestions? i need quick responses, i have a race tonight >.<

no way to load drivers or anything. antiviruses are off too..

Try changing to Compatibility Mode. Right click on the Motioninjoy icon and properties. Now change to run with Windows 7 compatibility mode and it should work just fine.

Yes i would much rather windows 7, but i bought the computer with windows 8, and you cant "legally" download windows 7 (even if you have disc) because it goes against microsofts terms or something. Only windows 8 pro users are permitted to downgrade. I would downgrade anyway, but my internals are also made for windows 8.

Dont worry man, I play with w8 too. You just have to set the motioninjoy into Windows 7 compatibility mode, on properties, and then it should be fine.

Didnt work? That's weird... I had the same problem and that worked for me. Try to put in Windows Vista compatibility mode, and if that doesn't work, try with Better DS3. You can download it here: http://betterds3.ciebiera.net/

Already tried the better ds3 thing, but when i try to load the motioninjoy drivers windows auto install overides it, even after i go to control panel and disable it. And actually, ds3 tool stopped working on my other pc too, (windows 7) also on my brothers computer it stopped working.. not sure whats going on.
