Cutout help

Maybe this is an dumb question, and i already searched,

But how do i place an cutout on a template?

( this is my first time working with a cutout )

I usually select ctrl+a and copy everything and than paste it on the template. However I've never really understood the whole thing with cutouts or how to paste them...

If im dragging it on the template then its to big for on the template

you need to make sure both canvases are the same size

if they are, right click the cutout layer, duplicate layer, then where it says the current document name click on the drop down menu and find the template, this will duplicate the layer in the exact same place to keep it aligned
