Headset -Does MXS support surround sound?

Hey guys, im about to invest in a pair of surround sound headies, and was wondering if MXS supports surround sound, and if surround sound headsets are even worth it or not. Being a strictly 1st person only player in all games, id like to be able to hear my oponents position aswell as see them. Whether it be shooters or racing games, often you hear things before you see them, especially simulations like this. So if you can hear the POSITION, les say, of another rider, you can avoid him/her or block them from passing, etc. This is my idea of what a surround sound headset should offer, please warn me if im wrong or if you have past bad experiences with them. The headset wouldnt just be for mxs of course, if mxs supports surroun sound audio then thats just a plus, so im just wondering if it supports it or not. I can hear seperate left and right audio in my stereo headset.

Any suggestions/opinions/help greatly appreciated.

No. It's stereo but not 3D audio.

Would this be something you could integrate later on? Or are you sticking with stereo?
