Models/Skins, Mediafire Doesn't Work

So I'm trying to figure out how to download skins and models or possibly tracks, and not only have I not figured it out but mediafire links never work and the download never starts. Could someone explain how skins and models work? I use a RM125 in game and I'm not sure if I need a model for skins or what.
