Help Xbox 360 controller / Setttings

Post by hotified »

Hello to everyone!

I have played this game for some time now and realized that playing without a controller in "non arcade mode" i kinda super hard.
But my problem now is when i use my xbox controller I cant even make the first turn almost.
Anyone running with xbox controller mind sharing some bike settings so it becomes rideable?

I think the biggest mess is the direct steering setting. But when I have searched the forums almost everyone runs at direct steering 1.

Please spread some knowledge so I can enjoy this game even more! :D

Just practice, it is very difficult for the first 2 months but after that you will fall in love <3 just try to ride consistent and dont worry about going fast.

Just a quick update, I am still above 50 in stability and I mostly ran with my yz125 and was almost on par with the 450 that I ran with in arcade mode (with keyboard), and I could ride the 125 really agressive.
Tonight I tried out the rm250 (2-stroke) and just beat my 450 with a whole second wich is really nice progress for me!! :D

Track: Alcrest
Best time so far: 1:11:5

But I still have problems getting speed to complete the tripple in the end.
Another problem i have is that my front keeps diving on me when i am in the air, and hitting the gas does nothing to help that, maybe i hit the jumps wrong?

Sidenotes; I also switched to manual shifting when i connected my xbox controller. No other major changes were made.

Maybe this has nothing to do in the Help/Troubleshooting anymore as it is more a progression thread now? Mods can decide!

You need to lean back on the face of the jump and make sure you are full throttle (or at least close to it). If you have too much speed for a jump slow down before the jump and then get back on the gas at the top. There is a technique to it that is hard to get at first but once you figure out the timing of it its easy. Shift up an extra gear on the face if you are having trouble nose diving.

Find some of the setup threads and try out some other peoples setups once you get down to 20 or so stability. If you are still running stock tracks it doesn't really matter much though because they are easy and no bumps or ruts.

Thank you very much!

I will try that for sure, and i mostly run the stock tracks, and some sx tracks (or try to haha).
I've been looking at the other peoples setups and took one and did a few changes to it so it fits me better.

And a small update on my progression, I am currently down to 40-50 in stability and the feeling of the bike just gets better and better, beat my own time on "my" test track by another second now. Last night was the first time i didnt get lapped
in multiplayer mode!!
