ALIENWARE 17 LAPTOP
Okay i was wondering if anyone on this forum knows anything about Alienware 17 laptops. I know its a pricy laptop and is rated one of the best gaming laptops by multiple reviews, but is the price tag worth it? im looking to play games like BF4, Dayz, Arma and want to max out the graphics on them. Would this be a good Laptop to get?

Don't ever buy an Alienware. I had one and it fried itself in a year.

You'll be paying $500 more just to call it an Alienware, they do nothing special to the parts thats make them any different than an ASUS or Acer.

A similarly priced MSI laptop will be a better value, check out their stuff for the same money you get an i7 instead of i5 (wont make a difference for gaming really but nice to have if you use other software that can take advantage of it) and a GTX870m instead of GTX860m (check out some benchmarks I bet it will make a difference).

I bought my MSI gt780DX Gaming Laptop 2/10/12 and have never had a problem with it. I use it every day to mess around on but I build a desktop to do my heavy lifting. To put it in perspective mine has a i7-2670qm GTX570m and 12gb of ram and I have played BF4 on ultra with minimal frame drops under 30fps. High is no big deal.
Another option would be Asus, I really like their products as well but with MSI you get a little more bang for your buck.
