Is it possible to playback your "ghost" files in a replay?
Just like the title says, is there a way to watch you ghost that is saved on each track during a time trial run? I know there's the ghost file for each track in my personal folder, but can you watch it somehow? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

The ghost file is a mxdemo file. Go to your personal folder and you'll find a folder with the name of the track you want to see, go into that folder and you'll find a file called "fastlap.mxdemo". That's your fastest timetrial run. Either copy that file into the "demos" folder which also is in the personal folder or just double click the file. Hope it helps.aeffertz wrote:Just like the title says, is there a way to watch you ghost that is saved on each track during a time trial run? I want to post one of my time trial runs on the forum, but i dont know how. I tried making a youtube video of it but it says that it can't recognize the file type or something. I just want to know how to change that so i can post it on youtube.

You can't upload your fastlap file directly to YouTube. It's not a video file.
You need to record it with Fraps or use the games demo to MPEG script.

thanks, now i know i was wasting my time trying to do that. But is there a recording program that you don't have to pay for? I really want to post some vids but i don't really want to spend any money. Seriously though on a side note, this community is very helpful and friendly. I really appreciate all the help. Love the game, but man is it a pain.

Try my ffmpeg script. Since it isn't real time you won't drop a single frame with that script.
