Problem hosting/Need help

Post by WOW BOYZ »

Hello,

I tried everything, nothing works since I changed internet service provider (free now / from France) I always get "can not resolv address" only as I want to join the party hosted by friends or as I want creates a part.

I have no problem to join, the public areas, such elsinore or otherwise.

I opened my ports.
I put the Google Dns.
I added MXS, in my firewall.
I do not have viruses.
I have a good connection.
Before I could create games with my old internet service provider.

Always the same problem, if someone has an idea or an advice, it is the welcome.

Thanks :)

Do you need an internal IP address to forward to? You have the right protocol's and everything? (UDP) Have you enabled the port-forward? (Needed to do that on my last router)

You want my IP address? I have a fixed IP, that's all I know.

You can delete the TCP protocols, you won't need them for mx sim. And your static inside IP is 192.168.0.11 (double-checked?)? In that case it looks right. Have you let the rmxserver.exe through in the firewall?

Ok for TCP, I will remove.

192.168.0.11 is the fixed IP from my computer to my firewall,I have entered mxserver.exe in, and I also tried to create myself a part by disabling my firewall, but nothing doing, I still have the same error message (can't resolv adress) :/

I'm lost lol but thank you for taking the time to try to help me.

Can other people join? Can you join if you type in 127.0.0.1 as ip, or eventually 127.0.0.1:port ?

Is it the server or the client giving you the "Can't resolve address" message?

I do not know what I is a "client"

I create I have this error message "Can't resolve address". :(
My friends creates a party, I have the same error message "Can't resolve address", (we are in the same Internet Service Provider. :(
If I join this page http://mxsimulator.com/servers/ I have no problem to reach the parties. :D

I have no problem to reach the servers of this page (http://mxsimulator.com/servers/)

No one can reach me because I can not create game.

If I type 127.0.0.1 I can not reach, I get directly, the same error message "can'tresolv....."

But that is only for you, that's your localhost, so nobody else will be able to connect to that address.

The client is the game. "Can't resolve address" means the DNS lookup failed. I wouldn't expect that if you're using an IP address instead of a domain name.

You aren't trying to use your lan address (192.168.0.x) over that internet are you? That address will only work inside your home network.

I have google dns so they should work properly

It worked perfectly now. with the port 127.0. 0.1:19800 my friend can join me :D
I have not touched my lan address, Can I check if this is the case? How ? Is it important?

Thanks

Don't worry about it. I was just making sure your friends weren't trying to use your lan IP address rather than your internet IP.
