Wireless Xbox Controller

Post by vitalsigns479 »

I have a wireless xbox controller and have purchased a Microsoft wireless adapter for the controller. The controller connects to the adapter but when I go into MXS and try to customize my controls nothing happens when I try to set the controls like for instance if I click on throttle and then try to push the right trigger nothing happens. Is there any way I can use a wireless controller or am I just going to have to buy a wired controller?

I've had friends that used it. One thing you need to make sure of is that the controller is connected to your pc before starting up MxSim. If the controller connects after mxsim is started it will not work.

Yea, I used to work it but for the reasons above I bought a wired one. It was always buggy for me and if it disconnects for any reason (battery dies for example) then you have to close MXS and restart it.

Actually, if your controller disconnects after you've opened MXS and used it, it will still work once you turn it back on. No need to exit and restart the game.

Didn't work that way for me. Sometimes if it only dropped for a second it would still work but if it disconnected for a few seconds it wouldn't work. Maybe I was using a different driver. I also always hated the battery hump on the wireless controller anyways. With the wired my fingers have more room underneath.
