I understand that Mx Sim doesn't natively run on Mac.
Anyhow, I'm using Wine and I'm able to run the game nicely on my MacBook. I can plug in the DS4 and map all the buttons just fine. However, the triggers are not progressive. Meaning that when I press the trigger its 100% throttle. Essentially, the trigger is acting as a button and not on axis.
Is anyone else out there playing on Mac with DS4 and have some advice. I know its a long shot but its worth a try asking.
Thanks ahead.

Re: Need help using Dualshock 4 on Mac.
There are two ways you can fix this. 1) download an emulator such as inputmapper and trick your windows into thinking the ds4 is an xbox 360 controller.
2) go into customize controls in mxs, and spam the shit out of the triggers when choosing the control. If you keep spamming the trigger when selecting the gas it will eventually go to an axis. Same with the other trigger for brakes. Takes sometimes a minute but it goes to an axis eventually, its weird i havent figured out why it does that. Now most likely it will be a negative to negative axis, so gas will be stuck on and brakes will be locked, again i have no idea why. When you finally get it to an axis, find the "config" file in your mxs personal folder and open it with wordpad or something. Scroll down to trigger axis and for the second set of numbers get rid of the negative sign. Bam.
