MX Simulator

As the title says, if I quit out of the game it will reset my bike and gear to something I was never using. I tried looking this issue up, but all I found was to delete the config file and unfortunately it did not work.

Any help please? Thanks

Are you closing out of the game using the in game option? Or just shutting the exe down with the task manager or something like that?

Do other config changes save correctly? Are you running a 2016 bike with the new snapshot and then running a version of the game that doesn't know about the 2016 bikes?

Running a 2016 bike with the March 15 snapshot on the 1.10 update.

Are you sure you don't have a 1.10 exe sitting around that runs when you double click a demo or click a mxsimulator: link? Do you lose other settings or just the 2016 bike?

Bike suspension and advanced setup stay the same, but the actual bike always changes and the gear always does too. Today I changed my number before I stopped playing, and when I went to play again my settings had stayed the same, so it might have fixed itself.

I know I’m late but Have you figured this out I’m on the latest snapshot and update and my bikes don’t save I’ve also tried deleting the config

Mine just started randomly doing this I downloaded the newest snapshot, but it didn't do anything

Is your config file saving? Do this to view/edit the config file:

1. Open a file explorer window.
2. Click in the location bar where it shows the current folder.
3. Type %localappdata% and press enter.
4. Open the folder named "MX Simulator".
5. Right click on the file named "config" and open it using notepad.

It just shows all the same stuff It resets me back on what do I need to edit on it

It sounds like you've lost write permission to the MX Simulator folder somehow. Try renaming the MX Simulator folder and letting the game re-create it. If it works copy your files to the new folder.
