How come when I run 128 x 128 terrain does not fully render terrain it appears as a smooth terrain until I approach it.
You can see right below me in the screenshot the terrain is rendered and then in the turn and on the rhythm it is a smooth terrain surface.

Mipmaps does that. But, I typically use mipmaps along with anisotropic filtering (nvidia control panel) for it to look good.
