Do you have an ATI graphics card? There was a memory leak in their drivers from version 9.8 to 9.11 and version 10.1 to 10.2. You can get the most recent ATI drivers here.

What is the game doing when it runs out of memory? Does it happen with the last snapshot version?

Does it work If you turn down the model texture detail? That would lead me to believe something is losing track of texture memory.

Also, what does it say in the bottom right corner of the screen when the game has the menu up?

Yeah that's it. I just wanted to make sure you weren't accidentally running an old version.

Try turning model geometric detail down in the Graphics/Sound menu

Yes, turn down "model texture detail". If that slows down the memory leak it means textures aren't getting deallocated somewhere.
