Getting Terrain Textures / etc in track editor
I was wondering how to import the different textures into the track editor that are available for download by DJ and others?

Re: Getting Terrain Textures / etc in track editor
put simply,first off unzip and put all the decal pngs in your track folder that you want to use. to get them into editor and onto your track you have to open the decal file thats in your track folder,and type a new line for each new decal you want to add (i use Editplus3 to open the file). don't worry for now where on the map they go,once they're in there you can move them around and duplicate them, you just need to type a line when adding a new decal only for the first time so the game can locate them.
the opened decal file will look something like this;
location rotation size aspect trackname decal name
1 [1129.205566 1748.494385] 1.280535 32.000000 1.000000 @exmoorenduro/grassedge.png
2 [1104.858032 1742.875732] 1.302685 32.000000 1.000000 @exmoorenduro/grassedge.png
3 [1079.574097 1739.754272] 1.509144 32.000000 1.000000 @exmoorenduro/grassedge.png
4 [1061.469482 1756.922363] 2.356196 32.000000 1.000000 @exmoorenduro/grass.png
5 [1102.672974 1749.118652] -1.687900 32.000000 1.000000 @exmoorenduro/grass.png
6 [1125.771973 1752.552246] -1.733889 32.000000 1.000000 @exmoorenduro/grass.png
7 [1174.779053 1773.466187] -1.974151 32.000000 1.000000 @exmoorenduro/grass.png
so to add a new decal named mud i would type this line under the last;
8 [1000.000000 1000.000000] 0.000000 32.000000 1.000000 @exmoorenduro/mud.png
this will place the decal in the centre of the map,when you go into editor you can move it where you want it.
if i wanted to add another new decal named rock,i'd type another line, changing the location slightly so its not directly on top of the other on the map.
9 [1020.000000 1000.000000] 0.000000 32.000000 1.000000 @exmoorenduro/rock.png
just remember always to leave an empty line after your last entry,so if your last decal is line 10 you need have an empty line 11 like this;
1 [1129.205566 1748.494385] 1.280535 32.000000 1.000000 @exmoorenduro/grassedge.png
2 [1104.858032 1742.875732] 1.302685 32.000000 1.000000 @exmoorenduro/grassedge.png
3 [1079.574097 1739.754272] 1.509144 32.000000 1.000000 @exmoorenduro/grassedge.png
4 [1061.469482 1756.922363] 2.356196 32.000000 1.000000 @exmoorenduro/grass.png
5 [1102.672974 1749.118652] -1.687900 32.000000 1.000000 @exmoorenduro/grass.png
6 [1125.771973 1752.552246] -1.733889 32.000000 1.000000 @exmoorenduro/grass.png
7 [1174.779053 1773.466187] -1.974151 32.000000 1.000000 @exmoorenduro/grass.png
8 [1000.000000 1000.000000] 0.000000 32.000000 1.000000 @exmoorenduro/mud.png
9 [1020.000000 1000.000000] 0.000000 32.000000 1.000000 @exmoorenduro/rock.png
10 [1040.000000 1000.000000] 0.000000 32.000000 1.000000 @exmoorenduro/sandedge.png
11
then close the decal file,and save it. EASY eh?
whenever you make a change to a decal, billboard,statue etc. file a backup file of the original is created called a BAK file, delete them when your tracks finished
the opened decal file will look something like this;
location rotation size aspect trackname decal name

I'm so confused it's not even funny lol.
I don't even see a "decal file" in my track folder
(On another note,i have friends that live in Devon, England)

Nevermind, i figured out the decal part.
Now, for the textures, do i do pretty much the same thing?
I just open "texturelist" and add the lines for each texture right?

The texturelist file is pretty much useless now, you don't have to do anything with it.
