When you use radial blur on wheels, make sure you do the two wheels separately. I would just ditch the wheel blur altogether in those shots, though.

I just don't see why he made the shadow so strong and completely still while everything else is extremely blurred.

And posted it in screenshots of the week....he could have looked at all the other shots and said "oh I need practice"

One of his shots weren't even that bad, but the one he posted was by far the worst of the ones he posted.

I don't think it's about being good with the radial blur tool, but more along the lines of your shots. The angles that you take of your rider don't work well with radial blur, from my experience. Try a shot like kxalex31 and I am sure the tool will work perfectly.

Devin, you got on me for being a dick to Rush, so I don't really see why you couldn't say, "Typically, shadows are not that strong and the background is nowhere near the blurry," rather than being an asshole with that picture. Practice what you preach, please. Also, John, I don't believe I've ever seen you post a SSOTW worthy shot either. A lot of people who post screenshots (such as myself with 0 votes for every one that I've entered) don't make shots that could ever win, but he's showing interest and trying, and you guys being dicks isn't helping at all
