I don't believe he was trying to say anything bad. He was giving you credit for busting out quality work fast.
From my experience, 80% quality at a high quantity is more desirable than 98% quality at a low quantity. At least in every workplace I've been. I can always respect the super high quality, but to be honest, I can't tell a difference between a 80% and a 98% piece of work when it comes to models. I just am not "into it" enough to tell, and I guess that's why 80% is good enough.
And no, I'm not calling your work only "80% good" Jay, just that's the saying I've always been taught.
But 80% is 8/10, and better than any track I've made for MXS haha. So if it was 80%, congrats.
