It doesn't work in lookdev/eevee, it will work in rendered view. If it doesn't save out a new png that's transparent behind the rotors.

Save out a new png and make sure the background is transparent, if that doesn't work I think effertz posted a picture showing another way to do it, so you could try that. Also it kinda looks like you're still in eevee so check that you're in cycles.
