Terrain.png Doesnt Update

Post by yzmxer608 »

I hope this hasn't been answered before, I searched and haven't found anything like it. When I make a change to the disp map in the editor, add a jump for instance, then save the track. The terrain.png is supposed to update itself right? So if you were to go in the track folder and view the terrain.png it would be updated? For some odd reason mine doesn't update, but if i exit the game and restart it the changes are still there... Another quirk is if I remove a track folder (One that is a copy of the blank track folder and renamed) the selection for that track is still in game, it just won't load. I thought this might be because I had the game installed on my external hard drive, not C. So I installed it on C but it still does the same thing. Any help is appreciated.

i think i know what your problem is,
you made the mistake of unzipping the blank track file to the program files directory instead of to the personal folder, when you do this, it creates two separate folders for the same track, with the one in the program files folder appearing as though it is a "blank track" whereas any files that have been updated have been saved to the personal folder.

That would make sense, since thats what I did. I'll delete the track folder I'm working on and the blank track folder from the program files folder. Then just work out of the personal folder for tracks. Thanks, I never would have figured that one out!
