I have a display map BASED on Ocotillo Wells (For those who play MvA might know it as South Ridge Wells). If anyone is intrested in converting the two maps i would be happy to send them.
Hmmm, 257x257 is quite a low resolution. I'll still see how it goes in game though. No point resizing it to 1025x1025, just wastes memory
I just re-read, you used 2 maps, so one is the centre, and the other is the outer tiles? OK, well I can make a 1025x1025 map by tiling them together easily
OK, so I just put what Quadrider just gave me into the game. The disp map is 1025x1025 pixels, set at a scale of 5ft/pixel, which is pretty low detail. Adding to that, I had to stretch the original disps to fit 1025x1025 pixels (this image is basically a 3x3 array of quadriders images). Its a pretty massive area, 2.5 times bigger than your average MX map. The map being this size really hits your frame rate too.
BTW, I dont really want to make this. So once I get the scale right, I'm handing it to someone else
Random. If you read up to this, you would have realized he was just trying something out. If you knew anything about track making, you would realize the skybox(background) is one of the last things to do. If you knew anything about anything, you would keep your mouth shut. Give feedback, quit being captain obvious. DJ is not an IDIOT, he knows that octillo wells is in the desert. Be a nice guy, and people will return the favor.
