Why do people hate the berms, I love them. Bales will make the the track less wide. and One thing, DON'T touch the jumps there perfect.

Re: jumps over the start straight:
I'm not really sure what Dirtwerkz has up their sleeves for those. I initially thought the "middle" one would be a bridge, but decided it probably wont be for 3 reasons:
a) Not labelled as such on the track map
2) It would be an awkward tabletop bridge, which is unusual for the SX series - the bridge typically is the landing to a double (although I haven't been able to watch many of the races the last few years so that may have changed)
D) It would be a bit daft to have a big double or table after the finishline double, IMO
Honestly I don't care for that feature of this track - crossing over the start 3 times? Really? I always intended for the middle jump to be a ski style jump, although I did initially build it so you could jump over the entire start straight if you went way outside (PS it was a slower line...) but I've mellowed the jump out so its more like a flyaway thing.
I just don't really know exactly what those 2 sections going across the start are going to be like - and how exactly it interacts with the small "triple" at the end of the start straight. I initially thought you'd jump onto that triple somehow (on the first full lap), but the distance between the takeoff and the little triple is too far for that to happen IMO as it's drawn...so I dunno.
Anyway, additional comments welcome!

Re: Supercross 2010 - Who's making what
I am sure the whoops that JLV has made for San Fran are better... but to call them stupid? I haven no desire to argue, but I do feel obliged to stand up for one of the best track-makers who is getting trampled on.
I am sure there are lots of people on here who are faster at riding in real life, but I've ridden lots of real whoops on real tracks. They are realistic for amateur whoops. The A2 whoops are easy enough to just pin it through every time... but I didn't think that was stupid.

Re: Supercross 2010 - Who's making what
You misunderstood what i was saying. Small, close whoops that barely move your bike around and are more like rumble strips are stupid.... i was not referring to JLV's whoops, i was referring to mxallan's whoops, which are much like the whoops on one of the arenacross tracks (before the big double)..... those type of whoops are like rumble strips, and are stupid. As James mentioned, whoops are supposed to be the most difficult obstacle on the track...... jumping is easy, for the most part.Axle McOctane wrote:I am sure the whoops that JLV has made for San Fran are better... but to call them stupid? "Stupid" is not constructive critism no matter how you try to spin it.

Sure, i see your point, and I don't think you were trying to be mean. I don't mxallan has gotten the public praise he deserves for such a good track, tho.
About San Diego, the newer version is much better. I especially like the first 180 berm. There are a lot of lines to take through it, and there is room for several bikes on the bank, but it is not unrealistically big. It also allows for a nice outside line to triple into the rhythm section. I'm having a better time with not endoing on the revised jumps.

Re: Supercross 2010 - Who's making what
@ garasaki: its better than the last one, but to be honest i dont really like it. the rythems dont seem right, they just dont feel proportioned right. imo they need to be more like jlvs. the whoops seem a little too easy. the triple's landing is SO small. why? the finish like is small poppy and long. also i really dont like the ruts and stuff. i dont think it is necessary, and you dont know what the ruts will be like in the real race.

Indy is February 20th, when should i have Indy done?
San Fran gave me the idea about the dozer tracks:

Should i darken the color of the dirt?

Have it done by the 11th. I like to have a week just in case I have to fix any problems.TimFerry15 wrote:Indy is February 20th, when should i have Indy done?

It's fine as long as you have permission.
