What do we fix though? The way it is now is the same way that all the next gen games are done, albeit a little different.

motoboss, the majority of your posts in this thread are so uninformed and variating that i really find myself questioning your sobriety whilst writing them.

lol
All I want is it to be easier to get the damn decals ingame if thats how it has to be
The way it is now is RIDICULOUSE
You guys APPARENTLY cant understand that I Dont use 3D Max and I dont put code in game EVER
To make a texture into code or numbers is absolutely absurd
If it has to be this way make it where all we do is stick the texture in the folder and it shows up in game or something
Its like everything you do for this game.. you have to do 15 extra steps that are insanely hard

you dont have to convert them into code, all you have to do is put them in a folder and type a couple of numbers and the name into a text file, it really isnt that bloody hard
and for the record, i dont have the slightess clue on how to work 3ds max

We aren't giving cigars to kids

I agree with motoboss that it would be nice to have an easier system to use decals. Something visual. Maybe with an "import decal" and "export decal" button. And some sort of on screen selector where you pick the decal, it previews it for you, maybe you have some options on alignment/orientation, etc

Motoboss really has been all over the map with this post  But it sounds like the implementation of the decal system is his main issue, and I agree. The easier it is to texture a track, the better IMO. The way it's set up now, feels like an early (really early) beta version of photoshop or autocad or something. Sure it works, and once you use the work arounds a few times you get used to it - but it could definately be streamlined and more user friendly.

That's not even an ingame view. No offense to MotoX, but I think that probably looks pretty darn average in MvA.
