Try using 4shared.It uploads way faster than anything else and is free.TimFerry15 wrote:Indy Beta v2
Okay, well after fixing the file, testing it, and restarting my computer multiple times because mediafire crashed internet explorer, making the window always be up and unusable. I have got everything organized now.
This file should work, unless sendspace screwed it up during upload![]()

Indy Beta Review:
I haven't put the time into the track to really get it down consistently yet, but here are a few things:
I like how the bowl turns are shaped, but they could be a little taller steeper.
The lips and landings of the triples could be a little bigger.
Small details like the texture and transition area from sand to dirt need a lot of work, but for beta form it is great.
I dont see why this can't be one of the best supercross tracks made for this game. It's good.

There are no textures on this track yet. Just the dirt and sand tilemaps. Bill (Hvpunk) will be making textures to make it look good.LUKE#281 wrote:good textures

Thank you guys for the comments and all of the feedback so far.LUKE#281 wrote:well i think it is a superb track, love it.
This track will be one of the best sx tracks made for MxSim, IMO.

Re: Supercross 2010 - Who's making what
1) The track doesnt feel like 1.25 scale
2) The sand feels like pitted rock. Make it have rolling whoops
3) The triple after the 3rd corner from the start feels too steep.

The anaheim 2 track they finished building already and it's covered. Which is good cause it's pouring here at my house right now. With the Stadium only about 20 minutes away I can't imagine it's any different there.

I'm guessing you're talking to my beta of Indy.DJ wrote:1) The track doesnt feel like 1.25 scale

1) Does it feel too small or too big?
2) Rolling whoops in turns?
3) I think it feel right, you can make the triple nicely, and if you double it, you land nice down the landing also.

Re: Supercross 2010 - Who's making what
Im sorry, i read this wrong, i was thinking 2nd turn, that triple. So, are you saying it should'nt be triple-able, because the jump isnt that big, or just make the jump more gradual?TimFerry15 wrote:3) I think it feel right, you can make the triple nicely, and if you double it, you land nice down the landing also.DJ wrote: 3) The triple after the 3rd corner from the start feels too steep.

Re: Supercross 2010 - Who's making what
A couple other things, if I may.
I agree that something else should be done with surface of the sand section. Perhaps similar to the kind of ruts and rollers that have developed in real life turning sand sections. There was one in supercross last year, although I don't recall which one.
The whoops are good, but I think they could be just a little bigger and gnarlier. Just a shade. It's a little too easy to pin it through the corner and all the way through the whoops upshifting. They are good whoops tho.

Re: Supercross 2010 - Who's making what
I am definetly going to put some nice ruts through the sand, because they always form in the real races. But really, rollers through 90 degree sand turns? Maybe (relatively) big bumps, not full-on rollers. I could be wrong though.. I'm going to try messing with the whoops though, i have a good idea for them
