Real stupid and quick question....

Im trying to replicate Englishtown Raceway Park in New Jersey.... and i want to make it as exact as possible.

To get the scale correct, i am using google earth to figure out the lengths of each straight and what not...

In the terrain.hf, the format is as follows... (Dimension) (Resolution) (Min height) (Max Height)

My question is, would setting the Resolution to 1.0 make a 1025x1025 map, 1025 feet x 1025 feet???

Don't worry, there have been much much much much dummer questions asked than this.

Yes, at a 'resolution' of 1.0, the track will be 1025x1025 ft

Thanks.....

Also..... has anyone figured out what min and max height settings would make every horizontal line in the gradient edit section equal to 1 foot high?

I don't think the min/max settings in the terrain.hf have any effect on the scaling of the gradient edit, I think it remains constant (except when you change the feet/pixel scaling [ie resolution as you put it]). But I'm not really sure how many feet the thick lines in the gradient edit equate to.

Alright...

I guess i could set the max height to say 100 feet and use %Black to accurately create heights.... IE 15% would be 15 feet, and so on.

The dark lines are 10 feet apart. The light ones are 2.5 feet.
