Terrain trouble

Post by aero »

Couple of hours ago i did exactly like in DJ's track making tutorial said.. I learned many thing (Thanks DJ), But there is this thing that i already knew before and now it dont work. I did a terrain in L3DT which was good imo then i exported it on to my desktop and moved it into my track folder (Track: Blank) and modified the terrain.hf like it should be. Then i did start the game and opened blank track and my terrain wasn't there just all flat. answer asap! :x

The terrain.png is the map. The terrain.hf is the "heightfield",I think, telling the game the size, height, and definition of the map.

Increase the last of the 4 numbers in your terrain.hf

Also make sure to update the shadows (go into the editor mode, set the "strength" value to zero, zoom to about 0.09, and left click a few times).

This is a frustrating process at first but it gets easier...
