Resetting your terrain back to flat

Resetting your terrain back to flat
Might be a noob question but only just now havin a go a track making and was wondering is it possible to some how remove all the terrain back to flat (taking away all the rises and lowers). Help would be appreciated

Make a new gradient and use linear paint then 'draw' across the whole track and it should go back to flat
