Post by dani22 »

Hello guys, well i'm not really good at doing tracks i just use in game editor, i would ask if it's better to use photoshop. i think it can be more profesional, but is it easy or hard?
and also i tried to put files on blanck track, like sand.png and that, but i couldn' make it. do i also need photoshop for that?

try the tutorials section, or FAQ. Photoshop is what professionals use. I know it's against the law in over 200 countries, but try reading the FAQ before posts like this. The maximum punishment is only online flaming so it's not that bad.

The way you get textures and objects into this game is pretty much a big pain in the ass.

You need to open up the decals file and manually enter the file name and location. Then you need to activate the decal in the editor (either by clicking on one that is already there (on the little circle in the middle, which will turn white) or by having the decal you want to use, on top of the list in the decal file). Then you just click to lay it down.

I think the fun part is when you want to delete, move, or rotate a decal, and you have to play the "click directly on the right circle" game, which JLV also invented. It is, in fact, as frustrating as his better known creation "MX Simulator" but lacks the same level of enjoyment...

Click swear click swear click swear, bang mouse on countertop while swearing, click swear, rinse and repeat.

It's always fun trying to delete a decal and ending up with 7 new decals sitting there 0.003 inches apart.
