Tunnels/ Bridges?

Hey JLV (or anyone who might know for that matter),

Is there a way we could implement something like a tunnel or bridge into a track?
Like in some SX tracks they have the mini-bridge where the track runs over and under it...
Or possibly even in a National (Or something like DJ's KOTM track), it could serve as an obstacle or even scenery...
Or like in the Navy Moto-X Champs Supermoto track, where they exit the stadium and re-enter...

I'm more interested in the functional aspect of it, seeing as how bridges would let us use more of the space on the tracks, ya know?
Just a pondering thought...

Yea its a great idea but the collision aspect would be a problem.

Yeah somehow I figured that might be an issue, considering there's really no objects with a hole in it to allow for that kind of collision.

Ah, it was just a thought.

Right now you'd have to make it out of spheres. I'd also have to change the way the game checks if the bike is close enough to the ground to pick the bike up. Currently it just looks at the ground (not track objects) so if you fell on the bridge it wouldn't pick the bike back up.

Hahah agreed. It'd teach you to ride the right way, especially if it was placed right after a corner, and if it had the friction setting equal to tarmac.

Not really. In New Hampshire there is a track that has a bridge, but it's covered with dirt, so you never even touch the bridge. I doubt you will ever find a bridge on a motocross track that isn't dirted over.

(Track is Jolly Rogers. Look it up on youtube, It's got a big ass jump on it.)

I've been to Jolly Roger MX! Yeah they do have the dirted over bridge.
I was talking about a Nats bridge..like a wood bridge over a creek or something, ya know?
I've ridden up here near Unadilla on a "course" that had a wood bridge on a curve over a creek...Let me tell ya, sliding on a quad from dirt to wood doesn't go so well unless its been raining lmao

Did you hit the Intimidator?

I'm still working on hitting it. I don't quite have the balls.

120 foot stepdown. Eh.

Nah man, it's a lot different on a race quad haha.
I went to watch my friend race in the 450's, then they had an ATV sesh, so I whipped out my race Banshee and ripped it up. But no Intimidator for me.
My balls are 2 sizes too small...right now lmao

I wouldn't want to hit that thing on a Quad. Even if you were a little crooked on the landing, you'd eat dirt hard with a quad.

I guess they knocked it down a lot though, so now it doesn't even kick you at all. I guess that have to do that when they want to run reverse days. :/

Yeah it'd be tough to run that thing backwards.

And as far as landing crooked, it's not half as bad as you think...for me, anyway. Race quads have a lot of give..they're made to slide corners.
Granted they're not AS easy to move around in the air like a 450 (I ride both, so I know), but they're still easily maneuverable.
