how do u bring the land up in the editor??? all i can do i sink it down...

click on raise.....

i know that part... but when ever i click on some of the commands it says "Update needed!"

right below where it says tilemap edit is a line labeled submode. It has the options of raise only, lower only, and assign. click on this until it says assign. As for the update needed, that just means you need to press the "U" key to update what the game sees when you leave the editor screen, and go back to the track.
