I'm not mad, just disappointed.
Btw, that quote was for Jay not me, but fair game either way.
Um..........................................................................
I'm not sure where to start other than the fact that everything in your post is irrelevant because no credit was given in this post, the one we are currently commenting in, you know, this one? Not that any of it other than the credit stuff relates to me. I mean you have 2 guys saying you didn't give credit but you're acting like it's 90%. Fair enough you gave him credit on fb but we're not on fb, I did not read this post on fb so well, it's not worth much here.... ya know, off fb.
To be honest I don't care all that much but it's like this. You see a kid walking down the street eating loolies and you see a guy take them, you feel bad so you step in. It's not like you magically become that kids ass buddy. Get a grab mate, you're old enough and a very respectful person, not sure what you're trying to do.
There is only a select few people like me here, the rest just eat, shit and sleep and don't understand anything in life. These are the people that rip, steal, talk shit in game and cry about nothing being released. These people don't understand simple concepts. This was simple, it didn't require a paragraph just a sentence.

Re: [TEMPLATE] 2K13 Kawasaki KX250F and KX450F
Alright, thanks for clearing that up. My intentions weren't to take a stab at you or JVDL, my main reason for the post was so that brandonmx and DBRider could see that Andy did in fact have a hand in this project, and that he shouldn't be ridiculed for keeping his version of this bike to himself and not the the public.p2sta wrote:well there is that one thing you probably don't know about Andrew and others....I modeled almost half of Andy's Kawasaki (+the general parts are from DJ's yamaha, Attacker's ktm and Ekswaad's frontend model)
also I did the unwrapping of Andy's bike...that's why it looks identical.
And if you still have something to say....we are releasing a template not the model, the template is 100% John's and my work.
I understand you didn't know the story behind but now you know, so I hope you can just enjoy the template.
Thank you!

Didn't see this reply before I postedJvdL wrote:Just for your information we've honestly given Andy much more credit than he deserved on our release.
More credit than he deserved? If you started from scratch then sure, I would agree with you, but everyone knows you didn't. Trust me I have learned the hard way that whether or not you remodeled someone else's work, you still need to credit them for whatever they did no matter how insignificant you think their work may have been. The fact is that you started with something that wasn't yours, and you didn't credit them at all (here on this post on the forums). I and obviously Stevo believe that Andy should still be given credit for what you re-did, because you still used his work as a a base.
Re: [TEMPLATE] 2K13 Kawasaki KX250F and KX450F
Yet here you are starting a 3 page discussion in a topic that leads to a Facebook Page that you need to read in order to obtain/download anything at all. Makes your whole logic rather irrelevant here, now doesn't it?
I singled you (YOU, not 90% of the community) out for a good reason. You are producing the most noise on the subject which has been dealt with and SOLVED over a year ago when the V3 kit was released. This leaves me to conclude you are just seeking drama to be able to jump in with your "white-knight-in-shining-armor" act hoping for a pat on the back ignoring all the facts.
I'm all for giving credit where due. And I will always give credit where due; as I have when I released this template.
PS. Seeing you think you know me that well; I'm sure you're aware that I've been beaten into the hospital a few years ago because I jumped into a situation where a guy I didn't know was nearly beaten to death and felt the urge to defend his life? No need to educate me on what is right and what is wrong.

Re: [TEMPLATE] 2K13 Kawasaki KX250F and KX450F
Let me just break down your post so you can understand where I am coming from

I see a big green button that says PSD+JM on it, and no mention of Andy Hack or credit for his work anywhere. Sure if someone was to scroll through all of your old posts then they would see the one sentence "We'd like to give a special thanks to Andy Hack for providing the original tank, side plate, rear fender, rear brake reservoir, fork guards and EFI geometry" on a post made on March 23 2013, not the post linked in this thread, so how is anyone who just wants to download the pack going to see the credits you gave Andy without scrolling for nearly a minute to find ONE post with credits for Andy in it?
How is it irrelevant that it leads to your Facebook page? I don't need to read anything when I click your link, as the first thing I see when i go to your page is this.JvdL wrote:Yet here you are starting a 3 page discussion in a topic that leads to a Facebook Page that you need to read in order to obtain/download anything at all. I'm not trying to be a "white-knight-in-shining-armor" at all, I just feel (as does Stevo obviously) that Andy should be mentioned in the credits, even if it is just a simple "Thanks to Andy Hack for his original model which we modified heavily."JvdL wrote:This leaves me to conclude you are just seeking drama to be able to jump in with your "white-knight-in-shining-armor" act hoping for a pat on the back ignoring all the facts.
Emphasis can be placed on the word template. You released the model files too, which is what I was getting at. It's already been mentioned multiple times and I understand it thoroughly that Andy has no work involved in the PSD file you released, however you also released the JM files, which Andy DID have a hand in creating, and that is why he should get credit.JvdL wrote:I'm all for giving credit where due. And I will always give credit where due; as I have when I released this template.
Never said i knew you well at all, in fact I have no interest in getting to know you considering your reaction over two people saying you forgot to credit someone has been similar to that of a small child chucking a hissy fit. As a matter of fact I've only ever spoken to you once prior to this occurrence.JvdL wrote:PS. Seeing you think you know me that well;
And this is relevant to this conversation how? You're trying to compare apples and oranges here. Jumping in to save someone from being beaten to death is extremely different to raising the point that you didn't credit someone for their work. Way to over exaggerate John.JvdL wrote:I'm sure you're aware that I've been beaten into the hospital a few years ago because I jumped into a situation where a guy I didn't know was nearly beaten to death and felt the urge to defend his life? That reply was fully meant for Boblob801, not for you Ohagan75. Read his previous message and it'll make sense.

Re: [TEMPLATE] 2K13 Kawasaki KX250F and KX450F
I really do hate being that guy... however has Andy raised any fucks about this post, I mean 1 at all ?? I searched the whole topic then the rest of the forums for 1 fuck that Andy gave about this and the search came up about as positive as my imaginary GF's pregnancy test....
Fuck sake
You have your everyday downy noob person that joined the forums at the later part of last hour yet has had an illegal copy of MXS ever since JLV released that thing that made me buy the game and bitches for the template and says Andy is soooo selfish for not releasing it
You have your everyday friendly neighborhood Dungey that has had MXS for 2 and a bit years and doesnt know shit all about PC's because he/she has a job in construction that takes up more time than their life has to offer but they are just super pumped the sun released daylight upon their day and the fact that JvdL released a new template to their 4th fave bike just meant a unicorn jizzed all over them and on behalf of the comunity they are just sooo uber pumped to be moving forward
You have your argumentative kiwi scum bag free man that just likes to push an argument with anyone for releasing something that should have had Joe Motocross down in credits for linking a pirated version of photoshop to old mate that told John to skin
Then you have people like Mason who make sly as fuck comments that downgrade your everyday friendly neighborhood Dungey who get a a little bit of a grin when they make a solid gold bike that looks just like their employee of the month trophy they wished they could have.
Moral of the story is Andy gives not a single fuck JvdL released something to a standard less than 1% of the people on the forums are capable of achieving that he could have and has done without Andy's help in the past so just pocket your love for Andy and

seriously I dont thank JLV every time I release a track yet would I have a game to make a track in if he didnt make it? nope
Fuck sake

To be far though I was on Steven and Ohagans side but I figured if Andy knew it was wrong he would say something and JVDL and P2sta would not of released it. They are artists no different than Andy, or anyone else and they know what to do and not do.
This is the problem when you work in groups sometimes, stuff gets lost in translation. Doesn't matter, the community got a sick free template they don't deserve and everyone should be jumping for joy. It'll be a sea of green bikes and fox gear this sx.

Hmm... you remodeled the brakes, linkage, front engine mount, chain guide and slider, the fork legs, and guess what, all these parts, exept the fork legs were modelled by P2sta #karmaJvdL wrote:PS. Boblob801. Just for your information we've honestly given Andy much more credit than he deserved on our release. The parts listed were the only parts he had hand in on his original bike. The reason I changed these is because I was originally to only make a texture for the 2013 Kawasaki KXF, but couldn't look past the fact these parts were modeled so poorly. Hence we removed, and redone those parts. Yes, they all ended up in a similar fashion on the texture because for 1) I already had textured most of the bike on the original mapping, and 2) Why wouldn't it be a good idea to map a similar part on the same space used before? So really, shut the hell up and go eat a cookie or something!

Red - My work
Orange - P2sta's
Yellow - P2sta and mine
Pink - JvdL
Blue - Eskwaard and DJ
Green - Stuff P2sta or I made which P2sta changed/unwrapped
As you might see, its a bit more than just "original tank, side plate, rear fender, rear brake reservoir, fork guards and EFI geometry" but i dont/didnt want a drama now or back then...
The story about the UV map is another one i dont really get, here's a wireframe i posted back in 2011, no one beside myself has ever touched it until then(first ever UV Layout):

Its correct that P2sta placed the parts he made or helped(orange and green), but the original layout was made by me, but thats not relevant at all i know that.
However, I was kinda upset back then when you released the older V3 saf, but didnt want an argument. The same was happening with this release, I am just dissapointed that I dont even get a single credit for the work i did on the model, since, and thats true, the template and bakes were 100% made by JvdL and P2sta. I know about the problems we had John, about me ripping your stuff for MvAU back then, well I just turned 14, and had no idea what i was doing since it was just normal to skin decals on someone else's skin. I thought we had sorted it out when i said sorry, but i feel like there are still some hard feelings? Also I dont know why no one has ever talked to me about all of that (P2sta included), I thought we're all friends (atleast P2sta) but it seems like i am alone with that as i see you kinda working together against me.
This reply is not meant in any way offensive, but I just felt like I should throw my opinion out there.
Also, thanks to my mates Boblob801, O'Hagan, m121c and some more for beeing on my side haha
Well, for everyone else (even the butthurt people) enjoy the template, its a piece of art!

Too bad you base base model differences on textures.
Those parts used are imported from my previous CRF for MX vs ATV modelled on 2009. Would be quite unlikely you modelled those.
You did however update your KXF after we got done with our bike for Sween, which was far BEFORE you released your KXF. Did we perhaps inspire you to do certain things the way you did on your update?
I could dig up all this old work and go over it part by part writing a book on it as thick as the bible on how parts are who's. Truth being said though, it would be a waste of time as you'd people still continue to dramatize a simple template release.
In any case I'm done with this as is. So much for MXS and it's community. Funny to think about how I thought about releasing more unreleased stuff when I went to bed yesterday.. way to change someone's mind within a few hours. *thumbs up*
Enjoy the template!

Everybody mad. Just appreciate the fact it's released where we can use it, instead of trying to keep everything a big secret.

In my opinion we just need to release our stuf to get the comunity back and (most) creators are to selfish
