Oak Hill Raceway : 2025 Spring A Ding Layout

Post by MarshDylan_ »

Nestled deep in Texas between Decatur and Alvord, Oak Hill Raceway stands on 185 acres of pure American motocross. Established in 1975, Oak Hill has proven itself to be a staple in the amateur motocross scene, and continues to be one of the best tracks that Texas has to offer.

What's up guys, it's been a while since I've posted in here, nice to see some familiar names still lingering around. The last time I built a track was around 2018 I'm pretty sure, so it was fun relearning everything and even learning some new things. This track has been sitting in my files for a few months now and I figured it was about time to share it.

This is the layout from the Spring A Ding amateur national earlier this year. This track was never really meant to be made, I took a few years away from sim and then recently found some high quality lidar data of the area. So I had the idea and once I imported it, things snowballed into this project. Most things are pretty accurate in my opinion. The scaling is slightly on the smaller side (roughly 1.05:1), but still rides and races very well. ReShade works wonders on the track also! There were many hours that were put into this, so I hope all you locals will enjoy.

Erode breaks in pretty nicely, I recommend running it around 0.6 - 0.8 for single player, lower to your liking for more riders.

Big thanks to:
Atlas for decals and objects.
Boot's House for objects.
Everyone who beta tested.
JLV for tips and the game!

*Disclaimer: You may love it or hate it. This track rides very differently than what I'm used to making. If you're struggling at first just take a few laps to learn the lines and get used to the traction. Once the erode sets in you'll be flowing
