challenging, but yet still a very fun track.
1 thing, can we figure out this first lap stuff. some tracks it counts. some it doesnt. it bugs me for some reason.

The first lap should be from the start until the first time you cross the finish line in my opinion. Haggqvist however has the first lap as the start until the second time you cross the finish line. I presume he's done it so that lap 1 is a full lap rather than lap 2 starting after only 4-5 corners but it is annoying when you're trying to set a fast qualifying time and you waste a full lap because of the way the timing gates are setup.barrington314 wrote: 1 thing, can we figure out this first lap stuff. some tracks it counts. some it doesnt. it bugs me for some reason.

I don't think there is any "right" way to do it. I have read however from dirt wurx that if the finish gate lies on or before the half (third) way point of the first lap then it is not counted. I don't remember the exact location but did a quick search and found nothing.

Considering he has done it the same way as the 2011 GP, I presume he has done it 'the right way'.

mx338 and this have def changes and tracks, love it, lots of lines and everywhere holds you pretty good. The start is funny as hell though. Would love to get a sand SX built up and a few more sand tracks, maybe just a track full of 180s.
Great work like as always, hag def deserves something for all the work this year.

wtf does that have to do with timing gates in this game? i fail to understand what you are talking about.DJ99X wrote:Considering he has done it the same way as the 2011 GP, I presume he has done it 'the right way'.
ddmx, thanks. that makes more sense. sucks for timed qualifying. but for the race it doesnt really matter i guess.

The Lommel GP counted the first lap as the start to the finish, plus 1 whole lap.

Re: 2012 MXSON: Lommel Qualifying
thank you. that makes more sense now. i never remembered to pay attention to the live timing. actually, i hardly ever watch live timing while im watching a race. i guess the flagger would do nothing the first go around, then hold a green flag at the beginning of the timed lap.DJ99X wrote:The Lommel GP counted the first lap as the start to the finish, plus 1 whole lap.
but when does the time for the race start IRL? or at gate drop or at green flag?

Re: 2012 MXSON: Lommel Qualifying
Pull it together guy. The flaggers IRL hardly do any work. They wave green first lap they pass, red/black/blue/yellow if needed, and white/checkers. There is also the two lap board but whatever. The MXS flagger holds a green because it just doesn't look right for him to do nothing and holding out something is better than nothing. As far as when time starts, that is from the drop of the gate. The moment the race beings so does the timer and that's for both MXS and IRL.
