Re: 2014 MotoOption Supercross Rd 7 - Arlington
I can't get any grip when powering out of the berms, they seem way flatter or something, not as cupped out I guess... I don't necessarily like the highway feel either.
There's been better but there's also been worse I suppose.

Ya I always had not so nice things to say to the traction but after seeing that it was never going to change with jlv I just didn't waste my time giving my feedback for it, now that we have the team we do making the tracks, it seems we have a little more flexibility and they have been changing things to better fit the wants of the riders, it just hasn't got to the traction yet.barrington314 wrote:I get what you are saying Mason. Im just simply stating that after 3 years of no one really saying much about it now all the sudden lots of complaining about it week in and week out. I personally still feel like alot of the bike spinning on flat landings is because the bottom center collision sphere of the frame is too large. But thats just a theory at this point. I dont actually know.
Hopefully we can get something better for next week. Atlantas dirt is far different than the others IMO.
I agree with the scale, but yet if it was up to me I would have it as technical as Checkerz suppycross practice tracks he released right before sx with the remade rounds. Those to me where the best, but we don't have smart enough/talented enough racers to actually ride them and it would turn into a bigger bitch fest then it already is.
All in all pumped for a new track again, and ready to actually race one of these for real now.

I think it's fun. A little bit in an unrealistic type of way. As stated by a lot, the scaling is a little big, which becomes evident when you're scrubbing the first quad, haha. I won't complain because it's already released, but for future reference, maybe tighten it up. There has to be some skill involved, this one is just WFO the whole time

I appreciate all the feedback. Please read this carefully, so we don't need to continue to beat a dead horse.
Oakland was scaled bigger on purpose, this one as was stated by Awood has the same width as the other tracks. The jumps are then built exactly where they are on the map. Please reference the FELD design. The jumps are way spaced in both the first section and the one after the finish. I agree its a unique feel but we just build what is on the map.
I've heard the comment on the berms from quite a few people since release. They will get updated on future tracks. Those that gave feedback thank you.
I don't think I'm more than average at the game and was having no issues with the whoops but wanted for racings sake to make sure so I made the last ones even mellower. I see a handful who initially didn't like them, I'm curious how many do like them and those who don't if you're figuring them out now that you've had more laps. Feedback is fine, we are open to it.
By the way, these are my favorite decals of the series, what do you guys think?

Might be the sharper transitions, steeper faces resulting in more force on the landings causing the washing out. I'm a bit scared to change traction because like the whoops half will be happy and half will hate it. Also, jlv traction is proven to work with this scale.Craig wrote:I don't mind it but jlv's traction feels different with new jump faces and bermsbarrington314 wrote:I get what you are saying Mason. Do you guys want us to take a risk and try changing traction knowing you may like it less? I can't speak for the rest of the builders but if a majority of the community is on board I'm good with giving something new a shot.

Could be a tad darker other than that the maps on them were sick! definitely the best so far!
I say yes to the traction change.

I liked the traction from Oakland it felt like I could charge the corners and felt like I could power out of them. Still ride that track all the time so much fun for me.

After doing more laps on the track
Im still not the greatest fan of these whoops they seem to be to close together. A2 first set,A3 and SD have been the best whoops so far imo.
Traction is just something you have to adapt to which iv done but still weird to ride on.
Berms are weird aswell

Id say yes if we got to beta 1-3 different tractions and then got to vote on itcheckerz wrote:Do you guys want us to take a risk and try changing traction knowing you may like it less? We could beta tractions somehow...
But the over scaled ness with the lengths of the rhythms is what bugs me, width seems to be fine I just think they map could be stretch too much longways. I think this should be changed in the future not just because that's how it is on the map. Make an executive decision to change it to normal, instead of what we have. Also, I heard the triples are supposed to be 80ft, and rhythms were 32 ish at SD. But now they're 100ft and 45-50 in most places. Which would be problematic building to a map, but I think we should be building too scale. I'm sure JLV has had that problem before but must have worked around it

No because we would have people try hard that shit out of it so they can get used to the traction..AWood wrote:We could beta tractions somehow...

So? Everyone could do it. So we've tryharded jlvs traction for the last 3.5 years. Do people have an unfair advantage on any of the rounds this head? JLV traction baby.honda boy 326 wrote:No because we would have people try hard that shit out of it so they can get used to the traction..AWood wrote:We could beta tractions somehow...
It's traction, not the track early. No big deal.
