Ontopic: The track and the methods of making it is really cool, i'm not a big fan of the environment though. I would like some more color! :D
Some people dont live where they can get more than 15 mbps Under $100 a month without data caps
I live where the fastest speed available atm is 5down/1up, so yeah I complain whenever I have to download something but I do it for myself. GTA took 18 hours
I feel ya, I have 1 down 256k Up, Games take days

I was thinking about normal and spec maps and tried this out. But I didn't got it working, but I definitely was planning this for future tracks. Does anybody know, if I could use the four big decals also as spec map?

And does mxs supports .jpg? If so, I could save the four big decals as .jpg, which would minimize the file size (I don't need the alpha channel from a .png)

will this method only work for sand tracks or could you make some dirt tracks? in my opinion you are the inspiration to the next generation of amazing mx simulator tracks. keep up the good work buddy you're doing fantastic

If I somewhere find some nice dirt, I will give this a try. But the it must be possible to make visible roots and trails, which is easy in sand, but difficult in dirt.

But who knows, maybe I find a nice miniature dirt track place :D

I can't understand this, because mediafire didn't deleted the file. It works quite well for me.

i wanted to build this as a kid, but parents would never let me... i ordered 22 pounds of kinetic sand (similar to moon sand) to make tracks in my room on a table  the kinetic sand sticks together so it makes no mess. thanks for making me spend more money on stuff i probably shouldnt have spent money on

For me, When the game tries to load the track, the game comes up with Bad Height Parameters and Error Reading Heights.

And Doesn't load.

Lidar is what most of the nationals uses (a low detail cheap version of the scan).
I would assume for this he uses "Structure from motion (SFM)" I'm probably wrong but it was just speculation.
