if your object test track lagged horrible this is probably 10000 times worse right?

Not really, because none of the objects have anywhere near 10000 spheres in the collision. But it may lag for other reasons...

The track is really nice. However, I noticed the program that generated your shapes has a bug. Most of the spheres are output 2 times -

Code: Select all

==> log.shp <==
49
     -12.0000               0           0 1.0 3.5 500 500
     -11.0000               0           0 1.0 3.5 500 500
     -11.0000               0           0 1.0 3.5 500 500
     -10.0000               0           0 1.0 3.5 500 500
     -10.0000               0           0 1.0 3.5 500 500
     -9.00000               0           0 1.0 3.5 500 500
     -9.00000               0           0 1.0 3.5 500 500
     -8.00000               0           0 1.0 3.5 500 500
     -8.00000               0           0 1.0 3.5 500 500

Ah crap. I didn't save the program, but I'm suspecting I put the x variable as an integer instead of a real number, so its rounding off, say, 11.5 to 11.0.

I turned on some AI before, like 5 other riders, and it really killed my framerate. Before I was getting like 90-125 fps, with the AI it dropped to 10-15. I'm suspecting that this is due to the collisions of my objects, because the program has to calculate the distance between each rider and each shape file, so adding these riders increases the calculation load. Would this be correct? If so, would we experience the same problem if we played this with mulitplayer?

In multiplayer the object tests are only against your bike. So it should perform about the same as racing against a demo.
